MAC accepts early applications to encourage applicants to plan in advance. Applicants must apply at least 8 weeks before the start of their project submitting the first Monday of that particular month. You also may use the following schedule to determine the latest date you may submit your application. Example: If your project is scheduled for May 15, 2009, then your application must be submitted no later than March 2, 2009.

NOTE: If your organization has never applied for MAC funding or has not applied since FY07, then you must submit a Vendor Input Form. This enables your organization to be entered into the state vendor system, which is necessary for MAC to issue payment. State agencies are exempt from this requirement.

Discipline Program Assistance provides project support for a variety of arts activities in Dance, Electronic Media Arts, Festivals, Literature, Multidiscipline, Music, Theater, and Visual Arts. 
For FY09, MAC accepted Dance, Theater, and Visual Arts applications.

FY09 is the “off year” for Electronic Media Arts, Festivals, Literature,
   Multidiscipline, and Music categories.

Minority Arts Program provides project support for arts projects created by or targeted to people of diverse cultures through the same disciplines as listed above. MAP gives funding priority to minority-managed organizations with minority-developed arts focused projects. For the purposes of this grant program, minorities are communities identified as African American, Asian American, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American.
For FY09, MAC accepted MAP applications for 2-year review cycle.

Community Arts Program provides operational and program support to
non-metropolitan community arts agencies that offer programs in more than one art discipline and foster the long-term cultural development of a community (other restrictions apply).

FY09 is the “off year” for CAP Project and Operating Support.

Arts Education Program grant categories are: Artist in Residence, Out of School, and Professional Development. MAC accepts arts education applications at the annual deadline (maximum request: $10,000) and monthly deadlines (maximum request: $2,500).

Folk Arts Program provides financial support for projects that perpetuate and present the folk arts of the state. Folk arts are defined as the living, functional and expressive arts of everyday people passed down informally by word of mouth or imitation within close-knit groups.

Established Institutions provides operational and program support for arts institutions with operating revenues exceeding $2 million (other restrictions apply).

Mid-Sized Arts Organizations provides operational and program support for arts organizations with operating revenues of at least $500,000, but less than $2 million (other restrictions apply).

Missouri Touring Program supports 60% of the artistic fees for organizations to present eligible performing artists.

Arts Services provides support to statewide arts service organizations for the delivery of services to arts constituencies and for MAC initiated projects that address special needs.
