The Missouri Symphony Orchestra is a 50-member professional symphony orchestra under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Kirk Trevor. Each summer in June and July, talented musicians from the finest conservatories and universities in the U.S. and worldwide create the Hot Summer Nights Festival in Columbia’s historic Missouri Theatre and tour around the state. The Missouri Symphony Orchestra’s innovative classical and pops programming makes performances fun and exciting for all ages.
Founded in 1970, The Missouri Symphony strives to enhance and increase the cultural awareness of symphonic music in mid-Missouri by engaging professional artists and educating young musicians through exceptional music performance. Based in Columbia, Missouri, MOSY includes the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, the Missouri Symphony Conservatory, and the Missouri Symphony League.
